In 2004, to celebrate her 50th birthday, Nancy Scheibe began a journey kayaking down the Mississippi River to gather women’s wisdom. She divided the river into five sections and has completed two of them. |
The Mission: While journeying the waters of the Mississippi, the Ripples Of Wisdom venture celebrates the value, power and sacred abilities of women by giving the Grandmothers* a voice, gathering their truths, and sowing those seeds far and wide. |
The Journey: As Nancy travels the river she holds Gatherings of women around Sacred Peace Fires. The stories from the first expedition are presented in Nancy’s Book Water Women Wisdom: Voices from the Upper Mississippi. |
