Nancy Scheibe has been painting pastel portraits of our special
companions for over 25 years. Using the finest pastels Nancy works from
photographs of your pet to capture your cherished pet's character and
personality. Your pet's portrait focuses on his or her head and
shoulders and is painted on acid free paper. Nancy uses colored pencil
and acrylic for highlights and fine detail.
You will receive your pet's portrait in a single white acid-free matt - ready for framing.
It is important the photos you submit of your pet are clear and of good
quality and includes a close up of your pet's face. Photos are returned
with the portrait.

Use a good quality camera and get in close to your pet filling the
frame with him or her rather than scenery. Always take extra close-ups
of the face for detail. You can send more than one photo for Nancy to
get a true likeness e.g. one may show the correct color and another may
be best for expression.
- Take the photographs at your pet's level or put him or her on a chair or
table. It may be helpful to have someone distract your pet while you
photograph him or her. Pay attention to the angle and expression of
your pet's face.
- Outdoor lighting is best but flash is acceptable. Avoid huge shadows.
It is very important that the photographs are clear and accurate for color.
If you have a black animal don't take the pictures on a cloudy day.

Once you order and deposit are received you will receive a phone call
or email confirming the order with the anticipated completion and
delivery date.
Delivery is generally withing 4 - 6 weeks.
Once your portrait is complete you will receive an email. Balance is due prior to shipping.
